Zo koop je een auto op veiling zonder verrassingen
- Check het kenteken. Met de gratis kenteken-check zie je de RDW-gegevens: APK-datum en -gebreken, tellerstandoordeel, import en terugroepacties. Op de kavelpagina staan die al bij Nederlandse kentekens.
- Kijk naar de minimumprijs. "Onder voorbehoud" betekent dat de verkoper na sluiting nog kan weigeren.
- Reken met de totaalprijs. Opgeld, btw (of margeregeling), tenaamstelling en soms exportkosten komen erbovenop.
- Ga naar de kijkdag of vraag om extra foto's. Veilingvoertuigen worden bijna altijd verkocht zoals ze zijn, zonder garantie.
- Regel ophalen en verzekeren vóór de ophaaldag: zonder kenteken op jouw naam en verzekering mag je niet de weg op.

Hoeveel auto's onder € 5.000 zijn er nu op veiling?
Nu lopen er 563 auto's onder € 5.000 bij de veilinghuizen die Geveild.com volgt, in Nederland, België en Duitsland; 208 sluiten vandaag. De lijst wordt meerdere keren per uur bijgewerkt.
Kan ik een auto van een veiling zomaar ophalen?
Pas na betaling en op de ophaaldag van het veilinghuis. Voor de weg heb je een kenteken op je naam en een verzekering nodig; zonder kenteken of met een verlopen APK kom je met een aanhanger of transporteur.
Is een veilingauto goedkoper dan een occasion?
Vaak, maar niet altijd. Je koopt zonder garantie, en opgeld en btw komen erbij. Vergelijk daarom de totaalprijs met wat vergelijkbare voertuigen op veiling opbrachten (tabel hierboven) en met de vraagprijs van een occasion.
Wat betekent "margeregeling" bij een auto?
Dan betaal je geen btw over het bod, alleen (meestal) over het opgeld. Bij een btw-auto komt er btw over het bod; een ondernemer kan die meestal terugvragen. Op de kavelpagina staat wat het veilinghuis noemt.
